The ceramic wares are all limited production and designed by Parisa Golestaneh. Each piece is unique and hand made. Some are thrown on the pottery wheel, others are slip casted or simply shaped with clay sheets. All types of clay and glazes used to make the wares are food safe and lead free. the clay used varies from earthenware to grès or a white porcelain. All the wares hand glazed and fired in a gas kiln up to 1280 degrees.

The name Marlik is originally the name of an ancient site near Roudbar in Gilan, north of Iran. The site of a royal cemetery, and artifacts found at this site date back to 3,000 years ago. Some of the artifacts contain amazing workmanship with gold and pottery.
